SGI Corporate Scholarships

The SGI Corporate Scholarship is open to Saskatchewan residents attending accredited post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan.

Eight (8) $2,500 scholarships are awarded each year – four (4) to university students and four (4) to students attending a technical institute. Recipients may receive only one SGI scholarship during their studies.

Two (2) scholarships will be awarded exclusively to diversity candidates. The other six (6) scholarships are open to non-diversity and diversity candidates.

Criteria

To be eligible, a student must:

* be a Saskatchewan resident
* be enrolled full-time in a certificate, diploma, or degree program related to the business needs of SGI at an accredited post-secondary campus in Saskatchewan. Business needs of SGI are defined broadly to include all aspects and departments in the corporation
* submit proof of enrolment in the fall semester of the current academic year
* submit a transcript demonstrating a minimum average of 70% in the last academic year of study
* demonstrate contribution to community, extracurricular activities or commitments made in balancing work, education and home responsibilities

Note: Children and dependents of SGI employees are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. They are invited to apply for the SGI Anniversary Scholarship which is exclusively for the children and dependents of SGI employees.

Value

Eight (8) scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded annually.
