National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarships

Deadline: July 6

These scholarships for students who plan to enter the first year of a public, post-secondary educational institution full time in 2016-17 and who are children/grandchildren, or foster children/grandchildren of a National Union member include:

  • Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians
  • Tommy Douglas Scholarships
  • Scholarship for Visible Minorities
  • Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship

18th Annual Skills Canada Competition

April 21 & 22, 2015

"The intent of the competition is to bring together a number of the best high school, post-secondary students, apprentices and other training program young people, to showcase each person's skills and knowledge in the skilled trades and technologies in our province. There are two competition categories – secondary (high school students) and post-secondary (SIAST students, apprentices and other training facility students).
The competition provides a venue for youth in our province to compete against other Saskatchewan youth at a skilled trade or technology that they have been working on during the year."

United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth Tour 2016

Deadline: January 16, 2016

This program is made up of carefully selected high school students form around the world. It is an opportunity of a lifetime. This is an outstanding educational experience for teenagers interested in a better understanding of the world and international affairs.

The tour includes 4 days in New York City, all expenses paid, sponsored by the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Saskatchewan.

Applicants must be 16 or 17 years old and must have a minimum of 1 year of high school left.
