Casino Sponsored Scholarships - 2

Deadline May 31 - The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation offers scholarships to encourage Saskatchewan residents to pursue full-time post-secondary education in the fields of business administration, hospitality management, electronics or computer technologies, and communications.

Fourteen scholarships are available. Six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in university degree programs, and eight $500 scholarships will be awarded in certificate or diploma programs at regional colleges and technical institutes.

The SGC Scholarship program provides opportunities for all residents of Saskatchewan to be eligible for educational assistance. Our program is also designed to reflect our commitment to equity and cultural diversity and, in accordance with our commitment, preference will be given to awarding at least three of the university scholarships and four of the college or institute scholarships to qualified students of Aboriginal ancestry. Candidates must self-identify to be eligible for these designated scholarships.

To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must:

* Be a Saskatchewan resident
* Be enrolled or about to enroll in full-time studies (for a minimum of eight months) at a recognized post-secondary institute in Saskatchewan. (Full-time is defined by the educational facility the student is planning on attending)
* Preference may be given to those students enrolled in degree, diploma or certificate programs related to business administration, hospitality management, electronics or computer technologies, and communications.
