Katimavik is open to all young Canadians between the ages of 17 and 21 and is all expenses paid. This six or nine month program gives participants the opportunity to volunteer in community development initiatives across the country and develop valuable employment skills in the areas of civic engagement, leadership, healthy lifestyle, cultural discovery, official languages, communications, environmental stewardship,and project coordination.
This program may be of particular interest to students who are interested in a "gap year" between high school and post-secondary studies.
