Deadline: Monday, December 4 - House of Commons Pages are selected from high schools across Canada every year. They serve the House of Commons while beginning their studies at a university in the National Capital Region. The University of Ottawa offers a second year three credit political science course between September and April for House of Commons pages.
A salary of #10 800 is paid to pages throughout their working year. They work for 15 hours/week and their work schedule is coordinated with their university schedule. Candidates must be Canadian students or permanent residents; be graduating in 2006 to begin university studies in 2007; have an overall academic average of at least 80%; have a superior knowledge of both official languages and be accepted to a university in the National Capital Region.
