Applications are Open!
The Application for Admission is now open. Students can apply today using the online application portal and selecting the Fall 2020 application. Students are reminded to double check their marks to ensure they are reported accurately in the application system. Who is Kinesiology and Health Studies?

What is Business Administration?

This is an event where students are given a taste of what it is like to be a business student. Students get to experience mini-lectures in different areas of study by professors. Student groups and alumni are also on hand to talk about their experience in the Faculty and how new students can get involved.

What is Engineering?

Do you have students considering a degree in Engineering? Students are invited to campus on November 8 to explore the engineering profession and the programs offered at the University of Regina. They will explore our labs and learn about all of our different programs.

Social Work Information Night

Schulich Leader Scholarships



2019-2020 Academic Year

Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships in Canada, with a value of up to $100,000 each. Fifty students receive this celebrated award each year.
Every high school in Canada may nominate one student per academic year.

2019 FALL OPEN HOUSE

Fall Open House will take place on Saturday, October 19 and registration is now live! Students will be able to check out campus, win prizes, learn about our programs, visit with academic advisors, and have the opportunity to be admitted to the U of R that day!
New AOTS Updates!
Admission on the Spot ONLINE Application
Students have the opportunity to complete the Admission on the Spot application online before the event. This will allow them to collect their admission package when they arrive at the event without having to wait in line to submit and pay for their application. This also means they will be able to attend more of the Fall Open House sessions. Plus, students who complete the online application will also receive an additional $20 discount on their application fee, making their application fee only $50.
Students can fill out the Admission on the Spot Online Application between October 1 and October 15. The application can be found here. Students must select "AOTS Main Application-Oct19" as the "Application Type". After they submit your application, they will need to send us their most recent printout of their marks. You can help them out with this by either providiing the student with the unofficial transcript (for them to send to us) or sending it directly to us at enrolment.services@uregina.ca by October 15.

Faculty of Education No Longer Requires the TEAP
Students applying into the Faculty of Education do not need to complete the Teacher Education Application Profile (TEAP). To apply for Education, students can simply complete the regular University of Regina application. Removing the TEAP will allow greater access to the direct entry English program, attracting a more diverse group of future teachers with varied skill sets, experiences, and backgrounds.
*Students applying into le Bac or the After Degree (BEAD) still need to complete the TEAP.

Entrance Scholarships

Applications are open for USask entrance scholarships!
Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships
Prospective students will automatically be considered for a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship when they apply for admission. These scholarships recognize academic achievements and are awarded based on admission average

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships
Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships are USask’s highest valued, renewable entrance scholarships and are awarded based on academics, leadership and contributions to school and community life. Five of these awards, known as the Circle of Honour Awards, are designated for Indigenous students.

Apply for admission by: December 1
Apply for awards by: December 15

Competitive Entrance Awards
Competitive Entrance Awards include numerous scholarships and bursaries that can be accessed by many students with diverse experiences. Consideration is based on academic achievement, financial need and/or contributions to school and community life. Some awards recognize particular backgrounds, acknowledge contributions to certain clubs or reward achievement in music and athletics.

At USask, entering students are eligible to receive a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship in addition to a Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarship or Competitive Entrance Award.

$1 Million in Bursaries to Attend SHAD

Shad Canada is a STEAM and entrepreneurship program for students in grade 10 and 11. 

Shad Canada’s program attracts students with high aptitudes for risk taking, curiosity, excellence and resilience, and prepares them to take on social and economic challenges. The month-long program includes a real-world design challenge that asks students to work on issues such as food security, water management and waste.

Women in Agriculture Contest and Conference


Women in Ag is a group whose mission is to empower, support and connect women in agriculture, while strengthening the industry as a whole. 

One of the ways we realize this mission is through our CONNECT – The Heart of the Farm Conference, that takes place in Saskatoon every November.  In addition to educational and inspirational speakers aimed to develop ones personal and professional growth, the conference also provides the opportunity to connect and learn with individuals from all throughout the province, working in various roles in the agriculture industry.  With a goal of celebrating all women in agriculture speakers cover topics ranging from Conflict Management, to Women’s Health, to Farm Stress, to Business Management and so much more.  With an underlying theme of Cultivating Confidence. Anyone could benefit from this event, regardless of age or background.

Deadline: This year, Women in Ag are sponsoring a High School contest where students can apply to receive free admission to the event.  Details on the program are below,:

Enbridge Famous Five Awards

The Famous 5 Foundation is now accepting submissions for the 2019 Enbridge Famous 5 Youth Awards. This award is open to all Canadian youth between the ages of 12-21 and deadline for submissions is September 30th, 2019. Five awards of $1000 each will be awarded.

Saskatchewan School Boards Association Education Scholarships

Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards two $2,500.00 scholarships to graduating Saskatchewan high school students:
  • Degree Program Scholarship: $2,500
  • Technical/Trade Program Scholarship: $2,500
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need, and a 500-word essay. The application deadline is Aug. 31 each year.
The application deadline for students applying for the SSBA Scholarships is Aug. 31. Please send your application form to admin@saskschoolboards.ca
It is recommended that you also contact the Assocation to ensure that your application form was received. You can contact the Assocation at 1-306-569-0750.

Health Sciences Career Academy at U of A


Careers: The Next Generation has partnered with Alberta Health Services, NAIT, NorQuest College and the University of Alberta to offer a five-day interactive, educational and unique summer camp opportunity for students interested in a healthcare career. Learn more.

Plan, Program, Play Camp

July 24-27 in Regina
Youths between the ages of 13-17 can explore game development at Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Plan Program Play. Together, we will discuss the local gaming industry and hear from industry professionals. Over the duration of the camp, we will work to create a complete game that you can show off to your friends and family!  The game will include code, basic asset development plus sounds and music. We’ll discuss the programming industry in Saskatchewan, the local game development and tech scene. We will also highlight educational opportunities at Saskatchewan Polytechnic that will give you the skills you need to succeed!  If you have any questions please e-mail michael.barclay@saskpolytech.ca

Continuing Care Assistant Program at Kindersley


Great Plains college has announced the addition of new full-time Continuing Care Assistant program offering at the Kindersley Campus starting this September. The 8-month program will prepare students for a career in healthcare through a combination of hands-on classroom learning and labs, combined with clinical experience. Anyone who applies by June 30 will be eligible for an Entrance Scholarship of $500-$5,000 (deadline extended to June 30 for this program only). Seats are limited, so you are encourage to apply ASAP if you are interested.

The Kindersley Campus will also continue to offer a part-time Continuing Care Assistant program. The part-time course list, and full CCA program details are both available at greatplainscollege.ca/cca.

Registration is now live. Students of all ages are welcome to attend the powwow! Please have one person from your school register all students who plan to attend.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.


Please make sure you register all graduating Indigenous Grade 12 students who wish to participate in the grand entry and be honoured at this event. 

The annual powwow is held to celebrate the academic success of Métis, First Nations and Inuit graduates from USask and local secondary schools.

Powwows at USask's Saskatoon campus, situated on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis, have been an annual tradition since the 1980s.

The CMU Spring Scholarship Contest is open to all high school and post-secondary students who have not yet received a scholarship from CMU. Students must simply meet the eligibility requirements, and complete the entry form.

Three winners will be randomly selected and can choose one of the following prize packages, all worth approximately $700.

Grade 11 students are invited to attend the NEW Spring Open House on Friday, May 24, 2019. This full day of programming includes breakout presentations and hands-on workshops, information booths, and free lunch! Machining Madness at SK Polytech


When you stop and think about it there are many things that machinists make. Did you know that a machinist made the molds that made your car tires? Take a look at your cell phone; A machinist made the die-cast that set the plastic for that phone. Machinists are everywhere.
Come out to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and have a great day finding out more about becoming a machinist. There will be competitions to see who will be the maddest machinist.

U of Saskatchewan Graduation Powow

Consider attending the annual Graduation Powwow on Friday, May 31 at Merlis Belsher Place on the Saskatoon campus.

Graduation Powwow honours the academic achievements of Métis, First Nations and Inuit graduates from USask and local secondary schools.

The powwow is also a time to celebrate the Indigenous community and culture at USask and around the province. This is the largest annual Indigenous event held by USask and attracts over 2,500 participants each year.

Attendees have the opportunity to:
• celebrate and honour Indigenous graduates from USask and local secondary schools
• listen to traditional First Nations drumming and singing
• watch a variety of traditional First Nations and Métis dance styles
• participate in educational children's workshops
• enjoy delicious food

Saskatchewan Pulse Scholarships

Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) would like to invite all students completing Grade 12 this year, to apply for five of their $5,000 scholarships being given out in 2019.
To be eligible for a scholarship, students must complete Grade 12 this year and go on to attend a Saskatchewan-based, post-secondary program, full-time this fall, in a program associated with the agriculture industry. The student or student’s parent(s) must also be registered Saskatchewan pulse growers (ex. they have sold Saskatchewan-grown pulses in the last two years).
