Updates from UBC

January 31: UBC's application deadline

We have already received over 18,000 applications to UBC, and the deadline is fast approaching.
Encourage your students who wish to be considered for 2016/17 admission to complete and submit their online application – including the Personal Profile – by 11:59 pm PST on January 31.
In addition, qualified students with significant financial need can apply for the UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award by February 1.

Applying to Engineering without Physics 12

Students who have not taken Physics 12 are still encouraged to apply to Engineering if they are academically strong in Chemistry 12 and Pre-Calculus 12 (or equivalent).
Students from schools where Physics 12 or Chemistry 12 are not available may also apply (email details to grades.canada@ubc.ca).
Outstanding applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and may be admitted despite the missing course.

Distributed Learning deadlines

Students may use Distributed Learning courses:
  • completed by February 1 to calculate their competitive admission average (in time for self-reporting)
  • completed by June 30 to meet program-specific requirements

UBC's Bachelor + Master of Management dual degree

In the Bachelor + Master of Management dual degree program, ambitious and talented students combine their non-business undergraduate degree with a practical and career-oriented Master of Management – in just 4.5 years. We encourage you to tell your students about this innovative program.

The supplemental application (separate from UBC's online application) is simple, and requires students to submit a 90-second video essay.
