2007 Apple Scholars Program - Canada

The 2007 Apple Scholars Awards Program (“Program”) is sponsored by Apple Canada Inc. (“Sponsor”). The purpose of this Program is to provide selected students who will be attending a Canadian post secondary educational institution in Fall 2007, with technology and money toward tuition to assist them in using Apple products in innovative ways in their academic pursuits. The Program begins on April 2, 2007, and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 31, 2007 (the “Program Period”).

Phase One - E-application. Judgment will be rendered based upon the following criteria to select 15 finalists:
Educational background. Applicant’s achievements in high school, both academic and extracurricular, that illustrate high level of performance.
Future aspirations. Applicant’s future academic and professional plans and intent to use technology in future pursuits.
Ability to articulate value of digital media in academic life. Degree to which Applicant can articulate use of technology in studies to the broader student community.
Phase Two (15 Finalists) - 30 second Multimedia piece. Judgment will be rendered based upon the following criteria to select the 5 winners.
Finalists will be contacted by Scholarship America on or before July 19, 2007 to submit their official transcripts and upload a maximum of 30 seconds original multimedia piece directly to Apple that creatively answers the question, “If you had an audience of millions, what would you say?” Multimedia options include any single one or combination of:
Video or Animation
Podcast - audio or video
Original music compilation
Photos (maximum of three stills, unless they are a part of a slide show that can last up to 30 seconds)
Written (100 words will be considered the equivalent to 30 seconds)
