Online Golf Management Courses
Selkirk College, Nelson BC will launch a 10 course online certificate program this fall to preapre young people with knowledge and skills to break into the field of golf management. Transition to Post-Secondary/Employment Program
This program is designated for high school/GED graduates who are diagnosed with a learning disability and or ADHD. Students will be given the opportunity to develop study skills, note taking abilities, time management, organizational and advocacy skills needed to be successful at a post secondary level or for employment. The students are given time to develop skills to learn to use technological devices adequately. They are also given an opportunity to audit a class at a post-secondary institution and take a class for credit in their chosen field. For further information, contact SIAST.

National Youth in Care Network
Each year, Ken Dryden Scholarships are awarded to young people, currently or formerly in the care of the Canadian child welfare system who demonstrate great achievement and promise. Each scholarship covers up to $3000 or 80% of the cost of tuition and fees, whichever is less and is renewable annually.

Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Scholarship
June 15 - The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, in partnership with Great-West Life and Lnodon LIfe and Canada Life have established a fund that supports up to two scholarships each year for high schol students hoping to pursue an education in health or medical science at a Canadian University. The value of the scholarship is $1000 per year toward a four year undergr4aduate degree in the health schiences at any accredited Canadian university. CN Scholarships for Women
Deadline October 12 - This scholarship program for women is intended to encourage women to seek careersin Trades, Technology and Operations where participation to date by owmen in these fields has been limited. Masonic Youth Trust Award
Deadline August 7 - This $1000.00 award is offered annually to Saskatchewan high school graduates who proceed to an institution of higher learning anywhere in Canada. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership skills, community and school activities, special awards and need.

Tommy Rutherford Masonic Bursary
This $500 award is open to students at CutKnife High School, Luseland High School, Macklin High School, Unity Composite High School and Wilkie High School (1 bursary given, not one per school).
This award goes to a student whose parents or grandparents are or were affiliated with any Masonic Lodge. (If no Masonic relation is eligible other students can apply.)

Saskatchewan School Boards Association Scholarship
Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association offers two education scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating high school students who remain in Saskatchewan in post-secondary study. One scholarship is awarded to a student entering university in Saskatchewan and one scholarship is awarded to a student entering a technical institute in Saskatchewan. Petroleum Society Scholarships
The Petroleum Society Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (Lloydminster and District Heavy Oil Section) is offering both a scholarship and an essay contest for students who are enrolled for their first year in an engineering program related to the oil industry.

a) Bachelor of Arts in Prairie Studies - available online, local focus on Canadian Prairies within a global context, cooperative education program career opportunities in government organizations; economic development; rural municipalities; rural, northern and aboriginal corporations
b) Liberal Arts Certificate and Diploma - alternative to a four year BA program, completed in one or two years, courses include social sciences and humanities in a variety of topic areas, general knowledge and skills applicable to all walks of life

UR Ready Workshops

Coca Cola Scholarship in Fine Arts
The Drama Department at the University of Saskatchewan is currently accpeting applications for this scholarship, normally valued between four and five thousand dollars. The award will go to a students who is entering the first year of study in the B.A. program (with a major in Drama) and who has a record of distinguished participation in drama during her/his high school years.

New Program - U of S
In September 2008, the first students will begin their Bachelor of Science in Renewable Reource Management program at the University of Saskatchewan. These students will be educated to deal with issues such as bioremediation of contaminated land, evaluation of ecological goods and services, forestry and agroforestry systems, indigenous peoples' resource management and greenhouse gas mitigation. This new program is offered through the College of Agriculture and Bioresources.

Track and Field Camp
The Royal Canadian Legion will once again be sponsoring a Track and Field Camp at the University of Saskatchewan on July 8-12, 2008. Boys and girls born from 1991-1995 inclusive who are still attending school are eligible to attend. Ask your guidance counsellor for further information.
Legion Scholarships and Bursaries
The Saskatchewan Command, in cooperation with the Dominion Command of The Royal Canadian Legion are offeirng 10 scholarships of $300.00 each (based on adacemic standing) and 10 bursaries of $300.00 each (based on academic standing and financial need).
These are offered to students who have completed their grade 12 and are continuing their education at university, technical school, or business college.
These scholarships are available to the sons/daughters, grandsons/granddaughters and great grandsons/great granddaughters of beterans, ex-service, or still serving military or R.C.M.P. personnel.

Delta Co-operative Association Scholarship
June 1st Deadline: Delta Co-op offers a $500 scholarship to an individual who meets the following criteria:
-graduating in the current year from a high school in a community that does NOT have a Delta Retail outlet
-express a sincere desire to further their eduction at any accredited technical, trade school, college or university
-enter a program that is a minimum of two semesters in length
-be the son or daughter of an active Delta Co-op member

Health Information Management System at SIAST
This program, formerly known as the Health Record Technology/Administration Program, is offered at Wascana Campus. This is a two-year diploma program, with options to transfer into degree program in Health Information Management at several universities across Canada, including Ryerson University, which gives students full credit for their two years at SIAST.
