Language Programs - Council of Education Ministers
Explore - Explore is a five-week intensive language-learning course. You are eligible to apply for the program if you are a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status, have completed grade 11 (secondary 5 in Quebec) or are at the postsecondary level prior to the start of the course, and were enrolled in school full-time for at least one semester in the current academic year. Accent - Accent is a part-time work experience available to postsecondary students who, as a rule, study outside their home province or territory.
With Accent, you will lead classroom activities in English with elementary, secondary, or postsecondary Canadian students, eight hours per week, between September and April.

House of Commons Page Program (2009 - 2010)
Application forms are available for students to apply to work at the House of Commons for one year beginning in late-August 2009. The will work a minimum of 15 hours/week and their work schedule is co-ordinated with their university schedule.
A salary of $11 461 will be paid in 26 equal payments to Pages throughout their working year. In addition, a sum of $1200 will be paid at the completion of the contract.
Each candidate must be a Canadian citizen, be graduating from high school and beginning full time studies in the fall of 2009, have an academic average of 80%, have a superior knowledge of both official languages, and apply to a university in the National Capital Region.

Bridging Opportunity - Agriculture
Diploma programs offered in the College of Agriculture & Bioresources are two-year programs targeted at specific program opportunities in the areas of Agribusiness and Agronomy. The recent changes to the programs allow Diploma students to ladder into the Degree programs in their area of study. The admission average for these programs is 70%, however, changes to specific high school subjects required for admission are outlined as follows:

A.E. Blakeney SaskTel Bursary
The A.E. Blakeney Bursary is awarded biannually and since the first award was given in 2004, future awards will be given in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. The application deadline is March 28, 2008.
The recipient of the A.E. Blakeney SaskTel Bursary will be awarded $10,000 annually for a period of four years. The total value of this four year bursary is $40,000.
Eligibility:
be in need of financial assistance in order to complete their studies. Needs assessment will be based on a Canada Student Loans formula of assessed costs and assessed resources.
be graduating or a graduate from a Saskatchewan high school with an academic standing of 80% or greater.
be a Saskatchewan resident, for a minimum of 12 months, at time of application. Must be a Canadian citizen or Landed Immigrant (people who have been granted the right to live in Canada permanently by immigration authorities).
be an entering or first year full-time student, enrolled in a minimum of 24 credit units (in Regular Session) and in a post-secondary program of at least four academic years at the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, or First Nations University of Canada. Preference will be given to those enrolled in Business/Commerce/Administration with major in Marketing or Accounting, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Preference will be given to students who meet SaskTel's diversity criteria. Diversity includes the following: visible minorities, women in non-traditional roles, people with disabilities or Aboriginal people. Aboriginal people include the following: status and non-status First Nations, Métis and Inuit. Note: Must provide proof of Aboriginal Ancestry - photocopy of Band/Treaty card; Métis Membership card; Inuit Beneficiary card.
Payments beyond year one will be dependent on the student maintaining an acceptable academic average, continued enrollment in one of the eligible fields of study, and continued demonstration of financial need.

Casino Regina Scholarship Program
Fourteen scholarships are available. Six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in university degree programs, and eight $500 scholarships will be awarded in certificate or diploma programs at regional colleges and technical institutes.
To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must:
Be a Saskatchewan resident
Be enrolled or about to enroll in full-time studies (for a minimum of eight months) at a recognized post-secondary institute in Saskatchewan. (Full-time is defined by the educational facility the student is planning on attending)
Preference may be given to those students enrolled in degree, diploma or certificate programs related to business administration, hospitality management, electronics or computer technologies, and communications.
