The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has announced a new scholarship program that will give $25 000 to First Nations students. The scholarships, to be given out this spring, include two $5000 awards to students in computer science, commerce, or hospitality and tourism management; and two $2500 awards to communications or electronics students. Ten $1000 scholarships will also go toward First Nations language retention, as well as to eligible students in any other fields. Applications will be available on the SIGA website. The deadline is July 31.
