Canadian Classics Video Competition

The Department of Classics and Religious Studies in the University of Ottawa is hosting its first annual Canadian Classics Video Competition.

The competition aims to highlight what makes the ancient Greco-Roman world so exciting and interesting. They are looking for innovative and engaging films by Canadian high school students that explore a classical object or topic in under four minutes. Students may participate individually or in a team of up to four students. A prize of $500 will be offered for the best entry, with two runner-up prizes of $200. The best entries will also be put on a website dedicated to the competition.

The Saskatchewan Polytechnic Diagnostics Department and the Saskatchewan Health Authority invite you to attend a career exploration and Saskatchewan Polytechnic applicant information session for these diagnostic medical professions:
Presenters will include:

  • Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) representatives
  • Professionals employed in the SHA from each of the diagnostic professions listed above
  • Representative from the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Medical Diagnostics Department (MDD)
  • Students from the Saskatchewan Polytechnic MDD programs

Nursing and Education Applications at U of R

University of Regina Education Applications

Reminder that the Faculty of Education has changed its admission procedure. There is no longer a March 1st deadline for Education applicants. Instead students interested in applying to the Faculty of Education can do so at any time and will be admitted within weeks of applying. Also, Education applicants are able to apply at Admission on the Spot events (download the fillable Admission on the Spot TEAP)! **When applying online, remind students to select "Teacher Education Application Profile" instead of "High School" as their application type. For more information on the application process you can advise your students to review this page before completing their TEAP.

Schulich Leaders Scholarships

Launched in 2012, this $100 million program funds 50 undergraduate scholarships each year, across top Canadian universities.
Our most promising students can pursue their dreams and become the next global pioneers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
In order to become a Schulich Leader and receive the scholarship, students must first be nominated by their high school as a Schulich Leader Nominee.

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships are uSask’s highest valued, renewable entrance scholarships and are awarded based on academics, leadership and contributions to school and community life.

Five of these awards, known as the Circle of Honour Awards, are designated for Indigenous students.

SHAD Valley Deadline!

There are two weeks left for your promising students (currently in grade 10, 11 or 12) to apply to SHAD 2019.

As you may know, we have a 
substantial financial assistance fund, as we believe that all qualified students deserve an opportunity to benefit from the SHAD experience, regardless of their financial situation. We welcome all students to apply, including students who have the capabilities to excel, but who may not have the same opportunities because of where they live, their family financial situation, or their lack of access to extra-curricular activities.
