Luther College Entrance Scholarships

May 15 - To be eligible for Luther College scholarships, students must be registered in Luther Arts, Fine Arts or Science and remain registered in 12 credit hours for the Fall semester.

Alberta College of Art and Design Pre-College Program

This is an opportunity of talented high school students who are serious about pursuing post-secondary studies in visual art or design to become immersed in a month-long intensive studio and liberal arts experience at the college level.

This program is a 3-credit first year studies studio elective that is open to students who have not yet been admitted to ACAD. Youth between the ages of 16-18 years who have completed grades 10, 11 or 12 prior tothe program start can apply.

The University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine offer a summer program where high school students experience what it is like to be a student in these faculties. Participants have access to the University's top academic and research professionals and take part in "hands-on" academic programming. Programs range in length from one to four weeks.

Deadline January 31 - You are eligible to apply for this award if you are a Status Indian, a Non-status Indian, Inuit or Metis and you meet the following criteria:

U of A Scholarship - Extended Deadline

The University of Alberta has extend the Academic Excellence Scholarship Competition until March 1, 2008 (for this year only).

Students who are currently in grade 12 (or final year of high school); have an award average of 80%; are planning to enter the U of A in Spetember 2008 and who did not already apply for the Academic Excellence Scholarship Competition are eligible to apply.

Insight: Taylor University Visits

Thursday, February 28 to Friday, February 29, Taylor University is inviting prospective students to spend a day and sit in on classes, attend chapel, enjoy a free lunch and get to know Taylor students. This could include an overnight stay in residence. Taylor University is a fully accredited Christian Liberal Arts College which offers 3 or 4 year degress in Psychology, English,Social Studies, General Studies, and Religion and Theology, as well as transfer programs in Education, Business, Music and General Studies.

There is no cost to attend. However, registration is required by February 22.
