- are Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in Canada
- are in their graduating year of a Canadian high school or CEGEP, with the intent to enter college or university in the next academic year
- have achieved at least a 70% grade average in their previous year
- have participated in at least one extracurricular activity
- have demonstrated involvement in their local communities (e.g. volunteer work)
The awards structure is:
- 10 awards of $2,000
- 20 awards of $1,000
- 180 awards of $500
