University of Alberta Updates

Entrance Scholarship Applications
Entrance scholarship applications are now open and will remain open until January 11, 2023. Students must first apply to the University of Alberta before they can apply for scholarships. More details can be found at uab.ca/awards.

Students can attend a Scholarships 101 session to learn tips and tricks for writing a strong scholarship application. Registration is available at uab.ca/recruitmentevents.

To learn how to better support your students in applying for scholarships, attend our online Scholarships 101 Counsellor Lunch and Learn on November 21. Registration is available at uab.ca/counsellor.

Tour Our Campus

Get an insider’s look at our vibrant campus community with a North Campus or Lister Residence Tour. All tours begin with a presentation by one of our advisors, followed by a walking tour led by current U of A student ambassadors. Registration is available at uab.ca/tours.

AP/IB Student Exclusive Event

They have done the work, and they deserve the perks! AP and IB students are invited to our exclusive online event on November 21, featuring an engaging presentation, a Q&A session and a chance to win prizes. Registration is available at uab.ca/recruitmentevents.

Program Discovery Week

Our faculties have a full week of virtual events planned from December 5 - 8, geared towards helping students find their path at the U of A. Whether they want more information on their top program choices or are still exploring multiple options, there’s something for everyone. Registration is available at uab.ca/programweek.

Forest Society Shadow Day

Have students interested in Forestry but want to see what it is all about? The
U of A Forest Society is hosting a shadow day! Students can join us on campus to meet current students and professors, and enjoy a pizza lunch. To register, students can email uofafs@ualberta.ca by November 9. Due to capacity limits, registration for this event is first come, first serve, and students are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus.

Digital Viewbook

You can discover the U of A from any device with our digital viewbook. Browse our dynamic suite of videos that showcase our campuses, students and programs to see more of what the U of A has to offer at uab.ca/start.

Indigenous Recruitment

Indigenous students and counsellors are welcome to contact indigenous@ualberta.ca or Trevor Phillips (Manager, Indigenous Recruitment) at trevor.phillips@ualberta.ca for all application questions, including program selection, funding and scholarships and identity documentation.
