February 5 - 9. Everyone is welcome to attend all events.
Join the U of S in celebrating the successes and contributions of
Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, staff and faculty. Events focus on
achievements in academics, research, education, community engagement and
leadership.
The week begins with a pipe ceremony
and feast
on Monday,
February 5 and finishes with the ITEP Round
Dance on Friday,
February 9 in the Education
Gymnasium. Throughout the week there will be artistic
performances, speakers’ panels and lectures in various locations across campus.
One of the highlights of the week is the Indigenous
Student Achievement Awards Ceremony. This year, over 40
Indigenous students will be honoured for their academic, leadership and
community outreach accomplishments. The awards ceremony will take place Thursday, February 8
in the Gordon Oakes
Red Bear Student Centre.
