Sign of Starts for U of S Learning Communities

A Learning Community (LC) is helps new students to make a successful transition to university. Learning Communities offer new students the chance to:

• learn to adapt more quickly to university, including developing the skills needed to succeed in this new academic environment;
• benefit from the mentorship and support of successful upper-year students and recent U of S graduates;
• take a set of the same classes together with other new students in their college/program; and
• enjoy early access to popular classes that can be used to meet the requirements of a variety of degrees.

Sign-up opens May 9, at 12 pm (noon) in SK for Learning Communities in:

• Agriculture and Bioresources
• Arts and Science and St. Thomas More College
  • First-Year Learning Experience
  • Aboriginal Student Achievement Program 
• Engineering 
• Kinesiology
