The Who:
Grade 12 students and recent graduates (the past two years) in Saskatchewan planning to take agriculture-related post-secondary education beginning in the fall of 2013.
The What:
Ten scholarships worth $1,000 each.
The Why:
Agriculture in Saskatchewan, and Canada, is a modern, prosperous industry; it reaches far beyond occupations typically associated with farming and plays a large role in the strength of our economy. The scholarship is one of the first steps in launching your exciting career in agriculture.
The How:
Applicants need to:
- Produce a three-minute creative video or write a well
researched 750-word essay describing why agriculture, now more than ever,
is a vibrant, diverse industry; and
- Provide a letter of recommendation from an agriculture
teacher, industry leader or community leader.
A video/essay, letter of recommendation and completed application form must be received by March 1, 2013 to be considered for the scholarship.
