When you stop and think about it, there
are many things that machinists make. Did you know that a machinist
manufactured the molds that made your car tires? Take a look at your cell
phone. A machinist formed the die-cast that set the plastic for that cell
phone. Machinists are everywhere and they’re in high demand.
High School students are invited to come out and
explore SIAST’s Machine Shop program at Wascana Campus. They’ll learn about the
various types of equipment used in the shop while producing a project.
Representatives from industry will be on hand throughout the day and program
information will be provided to all participants. Everyone is welcome!
