2023 Education Scholarships
Education Scholarships
Each year, the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards two $2,500 scholarships to graduating Saskatchewan high school students:
- Degree Program Scholarship: $2,500
- Technical/Trade Program Scholarship: $2,500
A special thank you to AON for sponsoring the Degree Program Scholarship beginning in 2023 and Manulife for sponsoring the Technical/Trade Program Scholarship beginning in 2023.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need and a 500-word essay. The application deadline is Aug. 31 each year. Applicants must apply within 12 months of Grade 12 graduation.

Certificate in French as a Second Language
La Cité universitaire francophone at the University of Regina is offering this exciting 8-month program! It is a 30-credit full-time program that runs every year from September to April; an intensive program and the fastest way to learn French while staying in Regina. Students can add it to their diploma and it looks great on resumes!
They
can just take beginner classes this summer and start the program in September.

Our SPRA Future Leaders Scholarship will support a
diverse group of talented Saskatchewan youth to thrive academically and
professionally. We believe everyone has a right to education, and we are
committed to providing those experiencing barriers to education the opportunity
to apply for scholarship funding to advance their education/training in the
fields of recreation and parks.
The
SPRA Future Leaders Scholarship is now open for applications of up to $3,000 in

University of Alberta Access Awards Applications for the Discover
University of Alberta Award and the Turtle
Spirit Pathway Award for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Students are
open until February
15. These awards are available to incoming students to the U
of A who have demonstrated financial challenges and barriers to attending
university and who have not completed any post-secondary coursework. Up to

Sam Hofer Memorial Scholarship
Titan Livestock (Moose Jaw) is proud to present the Sam Hofer Memorial Scholarship fund again for 2023!
Applicants must be passionate about agriculture and entering or currently pursuing an agricultural related program full-time at a Canadian college, university or apprenticeship (trade) institution.
Titan Livestock (Moose Jaw) will award a scholarship of $1500 to the winning applicant(s) that can demonstrate their passion and potential through a 300-500 word essay describing themselves, their current involvement in Canadian agriculture, community and extracurricular activities, what has inspired them to pursue a career field in agriculture and future goals for themselves in the Canadian Ag sector.
Applicants must also provide
- Two references
- A reference letter
- Transcripts (high school or post-secondary)
*Awardees must present a university/college acceptance letter or letter of current enrolment before receiving the funds but may apply before they are accepted at such institution.*
